Our client is a well-established blue-chip that has recently gone through a period of change. They are looking for a Head of Learning & Development to lead the function, partner with senior stakeholders and work with specialist teams to create unique interventions.

With easy access from the M25, this role would be based from the Surrey or London office.

Head of L&D - £70k-£80k - Surrey/London - Job Role

This role manages a team of 4 L&D Partners, and works closely with Executive & 'Head of' level stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include:



Managing the L&D strategy, thinking about the future and not just the 'here and now'
Designing and developing the Talent strategy, including succession plans, talent pools, talent reviews, etc.
Leading cultural change within the business, identifying core issues around performance and understand how the culture of the business can help to address these
Demonstrating return on investment and the commercial benefits of L&D initiatives. You will be working with a tight budget and need to be able to submit robust business cases in order to get approval
Designing and delivering leadership development programmes, in an engaging and creative manner


Head of L&D - £70k-£80k - Surrey/London - Key Skills



Experience working in a large, complex organisation, preferably Retail, FMCG, Technology or similar
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to tangibly demonstrate results
Willingness to 'roll sleeves up' where necessary, leading by example
Flexibility to travel occasionally to other sites across the UK
A CIPD qualification would be desirable, but is not essential
