Management Development Trainers

Management Development Trainers South & South West England

As we make major investments in our network to improve the customer experience for 1.5 million passengers every week, we’ll look to you to continually develop the skills of the managers who are leading us through this exciting transformation.

We’ve opportunities for four Management Development Trainers who will each take responsibility for delivering local training in their region and championing a learning and development lifecycle area for the whole of First Great Western. These high profile roles within our Learning & Development team will involve working with vocational trainers to train a variety of managers in a multi-site environment and also support the soft-skills development of potential future leaders.

A supportive and professional coach with classroom experience, you must be able to address skill gaps, adapt your teaching style to different audiences and keep everyone engaged with your insightful training from start to finish. Resilient, customer focused and results driven, you should also be an experienced trainer with a good understanding of the learning lifecycle and performance and development principles.

We’re looking for talented trainers ideally with a track record of leadership and management development gained in a safety critical environment. An excellent communicator, motivator and planner with a management background yourself, you’ll also need the drive to achieve results and the flexibility to travel across our network and work remotely on your own initiative. You’ll preferably have or be working towards a recognised training qualification.

We operate one of the most complex rail networks in the UK. Our services stretch from London in the east to Brighton and Gatwick in the south, Carmarthen, Pembroke Dock and Penzance in the west and Banbury, Hereford and Worcester in the north.

We’ve opportunities in the central, east and west regions of First Great Western. So, if you’re customer focused and an inspirational coach who can help all of our managers to realise their potential - join us on our journey. To apply please use the link below.
