Talent Manager – FMCG

Locations: Middlesex – relocation available

Salary: £60-70,000 + great benefits

The Talent Manager  leads the development and implementation of solutions to ensure the company has the talent necessary to execute the strategy.  This position oversees, creates and implements the talent management infrastructure, framework, and strategies; and is involved in the assessment and development of employees through the execution of initiatives and programs. The incumbent identifies and recommends opportunities to improve and align job performance supporting systems, as well as, creates and implements an integrated approach to talent management across the organisation.

The role:

Ensure strategic talent objectives are developed, tracked and achieved.

Manage Internal Succession planning and talent review process in partnership with Senior BU HR leaders.

Consolidate information and prepare Materials for Review with senior management group, Compensation Committee, and Board of Directors on a bi-annual basis.

Manage the creation of a list of  internal talent, and recommend internal candidates when vacancies occur and manage the internal staffing process for Managers and above roles.

Provide information on internal candidate depth versus projections of need surfaced by Workforce Planning analysis. Identify talent gaps, and make recommendations to develop talent.

Help build development plans for key talent including the exec and track their integration into performance planning and their execution.

Develop a mentor pool and strategy for select high potential talent, including assignment management for cross-BU and cross- functional moves.

Work with best practice assessment consultants to develop, implement and oversee assessment strategies for selection/promotion at all levels – executive to front-line plant level employees.

Build the Talent Acquisition / Recruitment agenda for the business

Supervise and coach the Recruitment Officer to achieve desired outcomes

The person:

Degree educated in a relevant subject·

Strong experience developing and executing succession and talent management programs

Familiarity with integrated assessment solutions including empirical testing and competency/behavioural interviewing solutions.

Strong/expert experience and understanding of levels of measurements, psychometric principles and standards, employee assessments, survey development and implementation, research methodologies and statistical analysis. 
Expert knowledge of talent management strategies, leadership development and operations and organisational implications.
Expert business knowledge of human capital analytics, strategic planning, surveys and assessments. 
Expert organization design and effectiveness knowledge.
Expert coaching skills, process development skills and consulting skills

Problem Solving – Judgment, Complexity & ingenuity skills.
